About Bogavante

Bogavante.ai is a community-curated guide to the best lobster spots worldwide — from beach shacks in Maine to fine dining in Hong Kong. Every spot on the map was added by a real person who ate there and lived to rate it.

The site was made by Lobster Lovers and built by ignacio & enrineer. All data is stored in the EU. 🇪🇺

How it works

🗺️Browse the mapExplore lobster spots around the world. Filter by price, country or type, search, and sort the list.
✉️Sign in with a magic linkNo passwords. Enter your email, click the link we send you, pick a username and a profile picture — done.
📍Add your spotsDrop a pin on the map (or paste coordinates), pick the price, country and type, write your honest review, and publish.
🦞Rate spotsGive 1–5 lobsters to any spot. Averages show up for everyone.

Spot types

  • ⭐ Premium — fine dining, white tablecloth, wallet warning.
  • 🍽️ Casual — solid restaurants for a proper lobster meal.
  • 🌴 Beach Shack — sand between your toes, lobster in your hands.
⚓To keep the map tasty, each user can add up to 3 spots per 24 hours.

Community & ranks

Hit the 🏆 trophy on the map to see the Lobster Leaderboard: top spotters (spots added) and top raters (spots rated).

  • Gold name — the #1 contributor.
  • Silver name — the #2 spotter.
  • Bronze name — the #3 spotter.

Click any username anywhere on the site to see their public profile: picture, bio, and the spots they've added or rated.

Account & data

To contribute you sign in with your email (magic link — we never see or store a password). We store:

  • Your email address (for signing in and occasional service emails you agreed to in the Terms).
  • Your public profile: username, profile picture and bio.
  • The spots and ratings you contribute.

Data is hosted in the EU on Supabase infrastructure. You accepted the Terms of Service & Privacy Policy when creating your account; they're always available from the sign-in screen.

Delete your account

🗑️ To delete your account and personal data, send an email to contact@bogavante.ai from the same email address you signed up with, with the subject Delete my account.

We will remove your profile (username, picture, bio), your ratings, and your login data within 30 days. Spots you added may remain on the map (they're part of the community guide) but will no longer be linked to your account.
